Statement of Stance of the Indonesian Overseas Student Association Alliance / OISAA About the Attacks of Israel’s IDF Against Humanitarian Missions Freedom Flotilla Boats to Gaza
We, Indonesian Overseas Student Association Alliance / OISAA state:
First : We denounce the blokcade of Israel and Egypt since the year 2007 to the Gaza Strip and this action has against the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948.
Second :We denounce the Israeli attacks against the ships of the humanitarian mission Mavi Marmara (freedom flotilla) that occurred in international waters that have caused injuries and death on May 31, 2010. The attacks on the high seas is a violation of Article 87, 88, 89 and 90 UNCLOS (United Nations Conventions on the Law of the Sea).
Third : We urge that the U.N. Security Council (UNSC) to inquire the accountability of Israel in this case and conduct investigation and prosecution of all relevant parties that were involved based on international law.
Fourth : We request to all the countries in the world to impose Israel to fulfill the UN resolution (Resolution S-9 / 1 about the Gaza War) for the establishment of peace in the Middle East and the World.
Accordingly, This statement of stance we have stated, in the hope that all people/parties would concern with this incident.
